Verdicts on expensive vs cheap green tea.

 The more premium ones of course smells better, the green tea flavour is also stronger.
I Guess there is a differences in quality and effectiveness between them both.
Stronger flavour to me automatically translate to containing more of the green tea goodness like the antioxidants and whatever it has to help in losing weight.

How to tell if the green tea is of premium quality?

Fresh young leaves ( the young small leaves that just sprouted at the TOP of the plant) are supposedly the most expensive parts of the green tea leaves , so do make a note on that.

Smell the box. How does it smell?
Premium tea leaves are supposed to smell fragrant and fresh. It should not be giving off Any old cupboard smell.

Fragrance the stronger the better.

Premium green teas when brew will immediately give off strong green tea smell, the Color should be a light green. Not containing any brown.
If the tea is brown, there could be a mix of tea leaves of other cheaper quality.


All in all, green teas are generally not expensive.

Premium green teas actually will not cost you an arm or a leg .
